MEETINGS & EVENTS

MONTHLY MEETINGS

​

Meetings are held at the Senior Center Room, Horseshoe Lake Complex, 72 Eyland Avenue, Succasunna, New Jersey 07086 on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Refreshments and social time are at 7:00pm followed promptly by the meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monthly programs vary from informative to just for fun.

Our April General Meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Refreshments and social time start at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm. Our program will be presented by Homeless Solutions who offer shelter, services, and supportive housing to the homeless and working poor in Morris County, New Jersey

Recent Meetings:

Our March General Meeting was held on Tuesday, March 26, 2024.. Refreshments and social time started at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm. Our program was presented by Amanda Veinott Prami, a local business owner of Maven Roofing, speaking on Women in Business and Home Improvement.

Our February General Meeting was held on Tuesday, February 27th, 2024. Refreshments and social time started at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm. . Our program was a fun-filled dance session with club member Patricia Rousseau.

  

Our January General Meeting was held on Tuesday, January 23, 2024. Refreshments and social time started at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm.  Our program was "Healthy Super Bowl Snacks" presented by several club members, Laurie and Taimi.                                      

 

Our November General Meeting  was held on Tuesday, November 28, 2023. Refreshments and social time started at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm. Our program was "Tips for Travel" presented by Maria Bizub Jurewicz.                                                                                                           

 

Our October General Meeting was held on Tuesday, October 24, 2023. Refreshments and social time started at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm. Our speaker was Barbara McCloskey, President-Elect of the New Jersey Federation of Women's Clubs. Our GCI delegate also shared her experience at the Girl's Career Institute this past summer.

 

Our September General Meeting was held on Tuesday, September 26, 2023 Refreshments and social time began at 7pm followed by the meeting at 7:30pm.  Our program was presented by Roots & Wings. This organization supports "aged-out" foster youth. We are proud of  our association with them.

 

Our April General Meeting was held on Tuesday, April 25, 2023. Social time and refreshments will began at 7pm followed by our meeting at 7:30pm. We will be displayed our winning entries from our recent Achievement Day.

 

Tuesday, March 28, 2023 - Our social time began at 7pm, followed by our meeting which begins at 7:30pm. Our program was presented by Emanuel Cancer Center. The Emmanuel Cancer Foundation provides New Jersey families facing the crisis of pediatric cancer a place to turn for comfort and support through professional in-home counseling and a uniquely tailored package of assistance – all free-of-charge.

 

Tuesday, February 28, 2023 - Our social time began at 7pm, followed by our meeting which began at 7:30pm. See more details above.

 

Tuesday, January 24, 2023 - POW Camps in NJ and Throughout the US

Our program was presented by Naval Order of the United States Vice Commander General Don Schuld who shared what life was like for the thousands of POWs in US camps, post WWII.

Tuesday, October 25, 2022. 

Our program was presented by Cheryl Ricci-Francione, Executive Director of the NJ chapter of the Alzheimers Association. She will speak about dementia, Alzheimer's and the memory box.

Tuesday, September 27, 2022. This meeting kicked off our new club year and  took place in the Senior Center at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna. Special thanks to all of the guests that attended who are interested in our club.

Tuesday, May 3, 2022 This meeting took place in the Senior Center at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna. Refreshments and social time were at 7:15 followed promptly by the meeting at 7:30 p.m.

Tuesday, March 22, 2022  Took place in the Senior Center at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna. Our program was - Women's Heart Health - Margaret Erath - Community Educator with Women Heart: The National Coalition for Women Living with Heart Disease.

 Tuesday, February 22, 2022 Took place in the Senior Center at Horseshoe Lake in Succasunna. Our program was - The Roxbury Library Presents – “The Next 60 Years” – presented by Radwa Ali – Roxbury Library Director

 

Tuesday November 30th. Our program was "Teen Suicide Prevention - Dan Doherty, executive Director, Society for the Prevention of Teen Suicide.

Tuesday, October 26th at 7:15pm. Our program was: Taking the Mystery Out of Haircare - Do Something for You!” - “Missy” of Lighten Up Hair Salon, Budd Lake , NJ

Tuesday, September 28th - Our program was given by Roxbury chief of Police Marc Palanchi.
